Outdoor rides

What do you need to consider?

We ask you to be present 45 minutes before the start of the outdoor ride. You will first report to the canteen, where you will be told which horse or pony you may ride and where it is located. All saddles and bridles are in the tack room by name so you can easily find them.

If you do not yet have experience with mounting and unmounting the horse, we will help you with that. At a trail ride the horses are already saddled for you.

Changes in the number of participants of an outdoor ride or cancellations must be notified to us no later than 48 hours in advance, otherwise 50% of the cost will be charged.

If we have any doubts about riding experience while booking, we ask the rider to take a private lesson to assess level. The private lesson will be scheduled on a different day than the ride is scheduled.

If you can't make it to a private lesson, we can assess a riding video where we can clearly assess balance in walk trot/galop and the lightened seat.

If your riding technique is not up to the level required, we unfortunately cannot take you on the ride due to the risks that you and your fellow riders then run. Avoid this disappointment by consulting us when in doubt. Please note that we have a weight limit of 85 pounds.

Riding gear:

• A cap is mandatory for everyone! This must be a safety cap (with the CE / EN 1384 mark). Caps can be rented at the stables for € 5.00.
• Riders should wear (riding) boots or jodphur boots combined with chaps. If you do not have these yourself we have a few pairs available to borrow.
• A pair of riding pants and otherwise an easy-fitting pant. Preferably not jeans because of scuffing, but thick leggings or sweatpants.
• 

Step ride

For beginning riders, we organize step rides. Are you twelve years old or older? Then you can make reservations for this ride through the woods without experience. Upon arrival please report to our bar staff. Then you will be assigned a horse or pony, which is already cleaned and saddled for you. We will gather in the indoor arena where there will be some instruction on how to ride the horse. After this explanation follows the walk through the forest. It is possible to rent a cap from us for € 5,00, boots can be borrowed. For registration or more information please call 072 509 2149.

Forest and dune drives

For the more advanced rider we organize daily beautiful rides through our forest and dune area. It is the intention that you master the gallop well for this ride. The groups average no more than eight people per ride. With more than ten persons the group will be split up. The experience and wishes of the participants will be taken into account. There is at least one guide per group. This will ensure safe and responsible riding. A complete forest and dune ride takes at least two hours. Are you slightly less advanced? Ask about the possibilities for a walk and trot ride. This also goes through the woods and dunes and takes at least 1.5 hours. Reservations can be made via 072 509 2149.

Beach ride

For the advanced rider with at least four years of recent riding experience, we organize the most beautiful rides to the beach daily. Because we go galloping on the beach, it is important that you have a good command of the light seat and can keep your balance. From our riding school we ride through the beautiful forest and dune area to the beach. The groups are on average no larger than eight people per ride. With more than ten persons the group is split up. Of course, this ride is also accompanied by one of our employees. This will ensure safe and responsible driving. Reservations can be made by calling 072 509 2149. A beach ride (video) takes at least 2.5 hours.

PWN ride

This is perhaps the most beautiful ride we offer. A forest and dune ride, often combined with the beach and with a trip through the insane dune area managed by the PWN. During this ride you will encounter wild horses and highlanders. Again, you must have sufficient riding experience for this. This ride takes at least three hours without beach and four hours with beach. For this ride an additional € 7.50 per person applies for the purchase of a PWN dune pass. Full moon ride
