We would like to introduce ourselves briefly:

Nikky Kraakman

My name is Nikky Kraakman,

As a little girl I was born on the farm on the Duinweg and learned to ride at this riding school from my own mother among others. For my studies I went to Amsterdam for a while, but I always kept riding fanatically, it is my passion and I love it. Until now I have achieved Z-level dressage with two very nice horses.

After completing my master’s degree in organizational studies at VU, things went fast! I decided to work full-time in the equestrian center, because my passion is riding, teaching and of course organizing. Meanwhile, I even became co-owner of this wonderful company (together with my brother Sven- & father John Kraakman). In addition, I now live at the company, so mega fun!

A few years ago I got my Orun 2 diploma but because I like to keep learning and delve even more into riding technique, personal coaching of riders and horse welfare I am currently (2023) following the sports course Orun 3 at the KNHS in Ermelo (all-round). Teaching gives me energy, both to beginners and to combinations that are fanatic in competition sport. I also really enjoy going to competitions (often together with my sister Lize, boyfriend Maikel and my mother). Hope to see you soon at the stables!

Caroline van Baars

I am Caroline van Baars and work as a manager at Duinmanege van Poelenburgh. I live 10 minutes away from the stables in Schoorl. For over 30 years I have been working here with great pleasure. Running such a business together with Sven, Nikky and a great team around us, is a joy every day. Teaching both groups and privately are also part of my daily work. And don’t forget the instruction weekends that are a real challenge every year. At the moment I am training myself with my handsome “giant” horse Limited Edition (Eddie) and is now in class Z1. Sweat it and you’ll know it, that’s my motto!

Sandra Nelemans

My name is Sandra Nelemans,

I have enjoyed working at Duinmanege van Poelenburgh for almost 19 years. I am mother of 2 nice boys of 9 and 10.

But I also have 2 horsesand a dog that are Zizo , Rosie and Sally-Jane.

Zizo is almost 20 years old and has been with me for 17 years.

Rosie is almost 3 years old and will be my2nd topper with whom I want to ride races and do many more fun things.

Sally is a super sweet 1-year-old dog and goes to work with me on Fridays for fun.

I myself graduated from NHB Deurne (sports training).

What is incredibly nice about teaching at Poelenburgh is that we have a lot of variety in that area.

From beginners to advanced riders and from recreational to competitive riders.

I also do some administrative tasks like keeping track of the equestrian camps and weekends. And I also maintain a part of the website.

This makes my work incredibly varied and fun !

I hope to see you sometime soon …

Aukje de Boer

I am Aukje de Boer instructor at Duinmanege van Poelenburgh.

I teach group lessons in dressage, jumping and carousel.

I give private lessons to various levels from beginner to competition rider.

This I do with great pleasure! Of course, I also like to ride myself, which I do on the now 4-year-old Orelius B.

My oldest daughter shares my passion for horses. and the youngest has quite the horse virus as well.

So you will also see us together often at Poelenburgh.

Cynthia de Koter

Hi ,

I am Cynthia I have been working at Poelenburgh for several years.

I accompany many outdoor rides and also work with them in the stables.

I also like to teach young and old. Beginning or advanced, jumping or dressage, or something completely different, it’s all possible with me.

The beautiful chestnut you see in the picture is Zarah, with her I won the Z level and I did everything with her. Unfortunately she is no longer here but I made many beautiful memories with her at Poelenburgh.

I now ride many different horses which is another challenge.

You probably see me on an outdoor ride or with a lesson.

hope to see you soon!

Bernadette Teibenbacher

My name is Bernadette,

I come from Austria and started riding at the age of six. Since then my passion for dressage riding has continued to grow, I especially enjoy training young horses. For me it is important that horses are trained in a versatile way and that the daily work remains varied.

That’s why Duinmanege van Poelenburgh suits me perfectly: besides dressage work and teaching, I enjoy guiding outside rides and beach rides in the beautiful dune area.

My horse Cornelis has been my faithful partner for 9 years. Together we have achieved successes up to the Heavy Tour. Three years ago we discovered the discipline of Working Equitation. In a short time we managed to qualify for the Austrian national team and have now also achieved great results internationally.

Simone Maijs

My name is Simone Maijs and I work as an instructor and administrative assistant at Duinmanege van Poelenburgh. I live in Petten together with my partner Irma and dog Spike. After high school I got my instructor diploma in England. Then I gained experience in various branches of equestrian sports in France, Germany, Mexico and Belgium. Yet after that I ended up back in Schoorl. The horse virus had clearly stuck with me. For more than 25 years I still work with great pleasure at Poelenburgh.

Teaching, especially dressage and don’t forget the Carousel classes, combined with my administrative job is a challenge every day.

Making customers happy and satisfied in all areas is what I’m all about!!!

Lize Kraakman

Hello!

My name is Lize Kraakman, I am 21 years old and a real horse lover. I was born at Duinmanege van Poelenburgh, a place that my parents founded and that my brother and sister manage. I myself work here as an Orun instructor, and of course my horses are also here at the stables.

My love for riding began at an early age, under the guidance of my mother. After a few years’ break, I started riding again two years ago. I started in the B class and now ride actively in the Small Tour. My dream is to ride in the heavy tour as well in a few years!

I currently ride three fantastic horses, two of which I am currently actively competing and for the third I am planning to start soon as well. I really enjoy developing these horses and making strides with them.

As an instructor, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for horses with others, and helping riders achieve their goals, whether they are just starting out or more advanced.

Rhiannon Davies

Hi all,

I am Rhiannon and work as an instructor at Duinmanege van Poelenburgh. Besides being a mom of 3 cute girls, I have made my hobby my job. My passion for horses started when I was 4 years old. My horse career started as a 6 year old girl at Poelenburgh. After having several horses and riding several big competitions I was forced to quit the sport at the age of 22. Now, 10 years later and a couple of children later, I have managed to pick up my greatest passion again. They say: once a horse girl always a horse girl. Now we have a new family member, our black beauty Poppy (Popcorn).

He is truly the sweetest of all! I do this together with my oldest daughter Rivka .

Now I have been teaching at this beautiful center for almost a year. Both to the smallest to most advanced riders. Every time it is a party to teach and to see riders grow.
